THE COMMON LAW OF THIS BOARD

Postby Hierophant » Wed Jun 07, 2006 16:45

* No flooding or spamming. This is bannable, although we will see kindly to relevant commercial enterprises.
* Avatar size limitations must be followed - otherwise the format of the posts is messed up. Warning will precede changes, and this is not a bannable action.
* People who post off-topic threads, or repeatedly try to derail threads with no justification, will be seen as suspicious and may, after one warning, be banned.

Christians and statists are also allowed on this board, as long as they follow the points above.

Things you CAN do here that you cannot anywhere else:

* Utter profanities. Censorship in any form is STRONGLY discouraged, and calls for censorship of profanities will be blithely ignored.
* Talk about civil disobedience (or even commit a crime, although I have no idea how you could do that on a message board).
* Be a jackass.
* Thread highjacking (changing the topic) or necromancy (resurrection of old threads) are allowed.

All serious disputes must be settled through arbitration. The moderators will not listen to complaints about the four points above.

Didn't they almost pass a law in either the U.S. or Canada that would have made it illegal to harass someone on the internet using a psuedonym? It's conceivable that such a law might eventually get through congress, in which case it will be entirely possible to commit crimes via this message board. Also, as long as such a law does not pass, people could still use a message board to organize drug deals and such things, which is a crime of itself.

That is correct, I don't know if that law is in effect or rejected or what. Also, drug deals can indeed be made on here. I fully support the use of Graveyard of the Gods to make drug deals.

I believe the cyber-harassment clause was included in the Patriot Act, was it not ?

No, but ...

What's what I wrote.

That's**

Added thread highjacking and thread necromancy to the list of things allowed here and not many other places. (in fact only one other board to my knowledge)

Most black market activities are fine, but I don't cotton to coerced slavery one bit.

But selling yourself as a slave is fine. I offer $1 for you.

$1?
I'm honoured, look! Someone thinks I'm worth something :-)

Disclaimer: Purchasing me will also include my endless lounging, smell of rotting carcus, covert black market operations (when your not looking) and high maintenance.

Voluntary slavery is iffy, but acceptable.

I don't think voluntary slavery is possible. You can't actually sell ownership of yourself, no matter how hard you try. :P
