Hi everyone :)

I just found this board after following a link on fstdt.com. I think this is going to be a nice change from all those forums I was thrown out of for saying things like "pissed off". Like seriously, wtf???

Ok, religious views....
I am Pagan, or to be more precise, an eclectic witch. Yes, I call myself a witch lol, and I can just hear the questions coming already :P For the most part, I worship nature and do what I can to respect it. I am extremely open minded and have no problems whatsoever with any religion in and of itself. The only thing that royally pisses me off is when other religions try to shove their beliefs down your throat, and tell you you are going to hell simply because you don't believe as they do. I think the world would be a much better place if everyone minded their own damn business.

As for political position... I'd say liberal, but it would probably be closer to all out anarchy.

Anyway, that's me! I hope to make lots of friends here!

Blessed be all! :)

For some reason, it put me up as being "guest" O.o I'm not sure why... when I tried putting in my username, it told me it was already used by someone else, so I figured it would just put my username at the top or something O.o
I probably did something stupid lol. If someone could tell me what I did wrong, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks^^

How would a liberal be closer to anarchy?

Technically, liberals are closer to anarchy than neo-cons, in the same sense that Jeffrey Dahmer is closer to being a good person than Genghis Khan.

Well, I was raised liberal, so I always say that I am. But I don't like politics or politicians in general (they're all a bunch of lying, money sucking pricks who only seem to fullfill promises to the general public right before the next elections), but to my mind, liberals are the lesser evil. Go to a liberal and a conservative, ask them what their views on Same Sex Marriage is, and you'll understand why I think liberals are the better choice (again, no offense to conservatives here, I'm sure there are many who DON'T think all gays are going to be burning in a lake of fire. I don't want you to to think that I'm lumping you all in one pile)

Liberals are just more sugar-coated, and they seem to be overall hypocritical.
Conservatives speak better economics and they seem to be more honest and passionate about their views.

I find Liberals to be better. I don't know, maybe liberals and conservatives are different down in the states then they are up here?

Oh that could definitely be the case. Have you ever watched Fox News compared to CNN or MSNBC?

::BARF:: I don't watch FAUX news. they're a bunch of frickin' morons. Haven't watched much CNN or MSNBC either. I mostly just watch the local news and Global News... and that's if I even bother with the news at all. I know the world is fucked up right now, and I don't need a news agency to remind me of it every day lol.

Well dude, you should actually give FOX News a chance, if you want to know what the Republicans are like. There have been many Libertarian shout outs on numerous shows, and a few mentions of anarchism. But yeah, trust your own judgment. This is a very vague topic, maybe we should switch to something more specific regarding Liberals/Republicans and see where that goes?

I started boycotting the Fox Network altogether when one of their late night news shows started bashing Canada HARDCORE. But, since it was a while back, I might give fox the benefit of the doubt. Hell, maybe I'll even sit through one or two of their news broadcasts and see if it's as bad as everyone says :eyebrow:

As a general rule, I don't even like discussing politics lol. The only reason I put my political view up is because it was recommended that I put it down in the post :P To be honest, politics gives me a headache lol. I can only handle so much bullshit before saying "enough is enough". I don't even bother voting anymore because like 90% of Canadians live in Ontario, and so us poor people in the Prairie Provinces don't even get much choice with what government we get. Well, except for the premiers, but most Albertan's are Conservative so my vote wouldn't count for anything anyway lol.

[shrug] From my perspective, liberals and conservatives are more alike than they are different. Both camps embrace the state's use of coercion.

I think Canadian liberals and conservatives are different from American liberals and conservatives. But either way, my view still stands that 99% of politicians are people who talk big, but don't give a shit about anything except their pay. As far as I'm concerned, I really don't give a crap who's in charge as long as they leave me to live my life as I see fit.

That's pretty much my attitude.
