I wouldn't commit suicide. The chances of me hurting myself are too high. It just makes more sense to me not to want to feel anymore pain or risk torture.

I am afraid of the mafia because they torture people to death and, worse, maim them.

Theoretically, the police are restrained by law. If they follow the law, I'd think they're less likely to physically injure you than is the mafia. However, the cops might lock you away for a long time and there's no guarantee that they'll follow the law.
People who don't like their beliefs being laughed at shouldn't have such funny beliefs.

Wouldn't not having any police / as many police mean more mafia? More suffering? Isn't a non-anarchist Libertarian party better because you'd still have the government for the police?

This is not a clear question. Why would less police mean more mafia?

Because people are innately evil, didn't you know?! (except those that are employed as the Good guys, who are innately good, instead).
"Let us remember that no man can borrow money, as a good business transaction, under any system, unless he has the required security to make the lender whole in case he should lose the money. What a stupendous wrong is this—that a man having credit cannot use it, but must exchange it and pay a monopoly price, which is really for the privilege of using his own credit!"
