It's Google's response to Facebook. Seems to have better privacy controls.
People who don't like their beliefs being laughed at shouldn't have such funny beliefs.

Google is again hiding the button that lets you invite new people to Google+.
Who wants an invitation when they make the button active again?

Some years ago, I came up with a line that achieved some notoriety among atheists online: "People who don't like their beliefs being laughed at shouldn't have such funny beliefs." It's most often attributed to Anonymous but it's mine.

It occurs to me that this is just as valid, if not more so: "If you don't like your beliefs being despised, you shouldn't have such despicable beliefs." If you believe that your "holy book" is literally and completely true, especially if you adhere to one of the abrahamic faiths, then I'm looking at you.

What if it was said as a Daffy Duck impersonation?

It only works with "despicable," not "despised."

Anyone else having trouble with Google lately? A couple days ago, my Google searches kept timing out. I figured that the fact that Xplornet sucks might have something to do with it but then I tried DuckDuckGo as an alternative and my search went through right away. Hmm.

(Plus, they apparently don't use tracking.)

It’s the middle of June and I’m still not used to the light. It was about 11pm and I glanced down the hall into the living room and I thought maybe I’d left on a light or the TV or something, so I checked. No, everything was off but the blinds were open. I was seeing light from the sun that had set but was not very far below the horizon. Maybe my perception of light as it relates to time of day at this time of year has been messed up by how cold and wet this year’s spring weather has been.
