actually, probably USA pig isn't big enough to be called a real meme, more like a local meme.

I think we should make our own meme and release the virus on the net.

There's the memes that are as old as the internet. Stuff like the "ate my balls" pages, or hamster dance pages.

You can probably look up the fourchan memes on ED but...

I don't miss that one, either. I was tired of it before the first time I heard it.

So what about creating our own meme?

Any ideas?

I've already created a small one. A Google search for "People who don't like their beliefs being laughed at shouldn't have such funny beliefs" gets about 569 hits, many of which list the origin as "unkown".

Unknown???? :x

One of the sites on which it is found correctly attributed to me is [dramatic chord] the forum at RichardDawkins.net. :D

I believe that memes are "black swan" instances. There's no way to predict what would make something a memorable meme, because this depends on so many random factors, that it's practically impossible to see it coming. That of course, is a very ignorant and comforting thing to say. Memes are a very exciting subject and I might do a research on it. If I ever do, I'll make sure to post the results here.
