Time Cube RPG Game!

Postby Rose » Thu Apr 27, 2006 16:28

Fear not, my fellow cubists, I shall be releasing a short demo of my Time Cube RPG game over the weekend, after I've handed in my お正月 project!
I'm still accepting (and very interested in) any ideas you may have for the game. Any nice midi files would be very welcome also- contributors will be mentioned in the credits of course.

Also, I have one big favour to ask all of you. There are 4 heroes in the game, each one from the 4 races, 2 male, 2 female. Any ideas for names?

Out of curiosity, how did you make this game? I assume, as per your request for midi files, that it is a computer game. Being that I have written some video games myself, I am naturally interested. :D

Oooh, goodo! the cubic jazz is odd, but I think Ice Cube's midi could be utilised quite effectively.

A timecube game? besides endless dribble on evil academia, what would the point be?

Wonderful, it will be interesting to see what you were working on.

I propose the following names:
Socrates
Zarathustra
Eurykleia
Arethusa

I'm still interested in how you made this game. Is there some obvious hint as to how you did it that I'm missing?

She is using an RPG-maker program rather than hand-coding the whole thing.

Will it be playable on platforms other than Windows?

Depends on the compatibility of the program, I guess. Are you using a non-Windows system?

Sure am. No evil singularity OS here.

See:

Really quite a 'harmonic' system.

Could be a few singularities in there. The entire world and every industry in it needs to be destroyed and completely rebuilt in order to cause it to comply with Cubic standards.

I'm using RMXP to create the game. While most of the game could be created using pre-defined code snippets, it's written in Ruby- which I'm getting up to speed with slowly. 4:)

I'm not sure about compatibility. I don't see why there would be a problem, but who knows. Give it a shot and see what happens, I suppose!

Those are great names, but maybe a little too long, I don't know...
